Here is a list of some useful Windows 8 keyboard shortcuts
Windows Key + R = Execute Run
Windows Key + E = Open File Explorer
Alt + F4 = Close the current window
Alt + F4 (When done from the desktop) = Brings up the Shutdown menu
Windows Key + L = Lock the computer
Alt + Tab = Cycle between open windows
F11 = Toggle Fullscreen
Home = Go to top of page
End = Go to bottom of page
Windows Key + D = Minimize all and show the desktop
